South of France -
A Sketchbook

Published in 1991 by Workman in New York and Sidgwick and Jackson in London

South of France: A Sketchbook came about as Sara was living in France. She was working on illustrations of the area including sending postcards of watercolour drawings to her editor Sally Kovalchick at Workman. This series of postcards then became her second book South of France.

South of France, published by Workman in 1990 is an intimate and tenderly illustrated record of Sara’s year in the countryside, conveyed through watercolours and hand-written and illustrated notes and postcards.
