She was sending postcards of watercolour drawings to her editor Sally Kovalchick at Workman and art director Paul Hanson suggested she do a book. South of France: A Sketchbook is an intimate and tenderly illustrated record of Sara’s year in the countryside, conveyed through watercolours and hand-written and illustrated notes and postcards
